Our Save the Dates, were super fun to make and not to mention super easy and very affordable! Win! We didn't have our engagement session yet, so we decided to use three of our favorite pictures we have taken since we started to date.
I worked with Peaches from Peach Prints to design the template of our save the date. Peaches was awesome to work with. She made a couple different designs and from there I was able to say what I liked or didn't like and what changed I wanted, if it was size, color, font, etc. She then sent me the file to do what I wish with it.
We compared sites to see what the best deal would be for us to get them printed up. We decided to go with Staples Copy and Print through the shop.com portal, they were offering 30% off any copy and prints at Staples, plus Free Shipping and with the portal we also got 2% cash back - lots of savings there!!

Our Caterer
Locust Grove does not provide food and beverage service, but they do have a 'caterer's kitchen' for any caterer to come on property to cook, which is an amazing feature! Locust Grove did provide a list of caterers who has worked numerous events at Locust Grove and recommended, although we were not restricted to any one of these caterers. One of the recommended caterers on the list, was also recommended from a dear friend of ours who absolutely loves his food. We sat down with Michael from Simply Gourmet, and fell in love! We knew he would be perfect to cater our wedding! We look forward to working with him.
Our Photographer
We are excited to use Owl's Eye Photography, a professional, fun, and energetic husband and wife team. Couple of the reasons why picked Owl's Eye Photography was because when we met with Josh and Trish, they listed to what we wanted, they may have been more excited then us (always great), and huge variety of packages and upgrades to choose from.
Here is a sneak preview from our engagement session, we took them at Quiet Cove.

Our DJ
Before we even got engaged, we already knew who we wanted to use our DJ, (and we far warned him one night out on the town, hehehe). He knows us very well, both individually and together as a couple; which makes it great! He is professional, fun, energetic, and motivating. We can not wait to have PJ the DJ to deejay our wedding!
The Venue
We decided
to go with a historic museum and nature preserve located right in our hometown;
Locust Grove.
The Locust
Grove Estate is such a beautiful property, with the buildings and gardens
overlooking the Hudson River, it truly makes any event memorable, especially
our wedding! J
Our ceremony is will take place on the Garden Lawn overlooking the
perennial gardens. Our guests will then head over to the covered terrace and
shaded courtyard for a ‘social hour’. And when it’s time for the cocktail
reception our guests will then dine and dance in the elegant West Gallery,
which offers hardwood floors, a cathedral ceiling and three walls of windows
providing access to the estate’s gardens and ground if they choose to walk
around.

A Big Hello!
Ok – let me first to start off to let you all know how
freaking excited we are! We cannot wait until our wedding! After all, this is probably one of the few
shots we’ll have at gathering all our favorite people in the same place at the
same time and it’s going to be a hella good time! J
I’m going to skip the introduction about us – because frankly
if you know us, you already know the story, so why bore you with all the sappy
details. Joe has my heart and boy he’s in for a fun journey especially with me
being the biggest pain in the butt he knows, but one thing for sure; neither of
us would change a thing!
The big day is July 5th, 2013 – that is exactly
201 days from today! Wow! It’s quickly approaching – good news is we have a lot
done already, still have a bunch to do, but we are right on target with what
needs to be done and that’s a good feeling.
We have amazing family and friends who are part of the
wedding party, and are helping us during the wedding planning process and we
cannot thank you enough!
Welcome to our Wedding Blog!
After a while of contemplating on which route we should go,
personal wedding website or blog, we, excuse me let me correct myself... I decided to blog. J I think it will be a
super fun and creative way for us to show our family, friends and the world our
wedding and everything leading up to it!
Enjoy!!
